Sydnie Mosley Cornell, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Dorset, VT. She was 91. Syd(Scooter, Granny, Tante Toot)was born on August 7, 1933 in Mt. Vernon, NY. She was an avid traveler, eventually settling in NJ, where she raised her children. Real estate adventures continued as she dealt in antiquing, and worked as a customer service representative at The Equinox Hotel. She loved poking around in her lovely garden. Sydnie was predeceased by her parents Ruth Matthews Mosley and George Elsworth Mosley, her son Robert Pernot Cornell, and several precious pets. She is survived by her sister Barbara Mosley deSouza of Rio De Janeiro; Her sons Ezra Cornell V(Rebecca) of Walden, NY; Keith Sargeant Cornell (Diana Mason) of Middleburough, MA. Beloved grandchildren Amy Lee Gadol (Harun) of Walden, NY, with great grand Aurora; Matthew Ezra Cornell (Stephanie) of Jacksonville, FL, with great grands Isabelle, Benjamin and Samuel; Abigail Jean Cornell (Charles Jones) of Rock Tavern, NY; Her loving nieces Carol, Susan, and Judith, as well as countless caregivers, extended family and friends. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name to your local ASPCA would be greatly appreciated.
