Trever Howard

Trever Q. Howard, 39 formerly of Pownal and recently a resident of Shaftsbury died on Sunday July 9, 2017 two weeks after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Bennington. The son of Joel Howard Sr. and Charleene Tornabene he was born in Bennington on March 16, 1978. Trever grew up in Pownal and attended Pownal Elementary School and Mt. Anthony Union High School. A self employed contractor , he served many residents and businesses of Southern Vermont for several years, he had also worked for the Town of Pownal providing winter road maintenance. While living in Pownal, he had been a member of the Pownal Valley Fire Department. Trever enjoyed being outside either working on a job or being around a campfire with his family and friends. With the recent move to Shaftsbury he was renovating the home he and his fiance Katie had aquired. Trever leaves his mother Charleene Tornabene of Pownal, father Joel Howard Sr. of West Burke, fiance Katie Tallini of Shaftsbury, his children who he adored Katy Mae Howard and Trey Howard, brothers Joel Howard Jr. of Pownal and John Kearns of North Carolina, sisters Kelley Kearns of Springfield and Mikey Howard and Brooke Colombie both of Pownal, his very close friends Jeff Miller Sr. and Jeff Miller Jr. of Pownal, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening July 14 from 5-7pm at the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home , a catholic prayer service will be held at 7pm by Father Bob Wiseman. In keeping with Trever's love of the outdoors, A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday July 15 beginning at 11am at the home of Phil Fraser, 10569 South Stream Road, Pownal , everyone is invited to attend and may bring food dishes and memories of Trever to share. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Trever's name may be made to his children's trust fund, with checks payable to Joel Howard in care of the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
