Valerie Ann Pinsonneault Dwyer, 71, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family into the waiting arms of her Lord on March 6th, 2023, after a trying and courageous battle with cancer. Val was the second child of 13, born in Bennington on February 6th, 1952, to Edward and Pat (Betit) Pinsonneault. Val worked in the Family business -The Vermont Steak House for many years as well as the Publyk House, CRJ, UCS and Turning Point Center where she retired from. Val always enjoyed her trips to the ocean, a good parade, going to the live theatre productions, especially the sight and sound theatre in PA. Val loved all of her family dearly and years ago when Sheila's battle with cancer began, Val started the potluck dinner at the family home on the 'First Friday' of the month, as a way for family to get together. Many good times were had, and memories made. Occasionally it was hosted at other siblings' homes with swimming pools in the summer months. Val always had the gift of hospitality and would rather have people into the family home she loved so much, rather than dine out. She had Allison and her whole family over for weekend dinners and it was always such a blessing to Val. A favorite pastime when not feeling so well and 'covid bound' was to go for a daytime ride and take Allison or Paul with her, or just a long ride alone to enjoy beautiful scenery we are blessed with. Val loved her Lord with all her heart and Christian music was usually on at Val's house. There was always an extra-large table with a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle in the works, she enjoyed doing them with Paul her grandson or anyone who would like to have a go at it! and it is still there. Val leaves her beloved daughters Katherine (Katy) Post and Allison LaFountain (Tim), grandsons Scott LaFountain (Taija) and Paul LaFountain, great grandsons: Carter and Jaxson LaFountain and, Trent Morse, all of Bennington. 8 Pinsonneault brothers and 2 sisters - Rick (Joan) of Bennington, Mike (Deb) of Palm Bay FL, Kitty Lewis (Gary) of Pownal, Ron (Jan) of Topsham ME., Bob of Bennington, Joe (Stacey) of Lyndonville VT, Greg (Lori) of Bennington, Wendy Ballou (Dave) of Bennington, John (Chris) of Rochester NY., and Jim (Laurie) of Bennington, several very close nieces and nephews and Dick Post of Bennington -father of her girls. Val was predeceased by her sister Sheila Gore, infant brother Larry and her parents Ed and Pat Pinsonneault.
