Vaughn Clark Sr.

Vaughn Thomas Clark Sr., 69, a resident of Jamaica, VT, passed away March 3, 2016 at SVMC, his wife and brother at his side.Vaughn was born in Springfield, VT on November 13, 1946 to Lloyd and Phyllis (Shattuck) Clark. He graduated from Burr & Burton Seminary, attended New England College, graduated from UVM after serving in Vietnam and earned masters degrees from UConn, Univ. of CT. and Arizona State Univ. Vaughn, along with his brother owned and operated Clark Bro. Construction, building many homes and other structures in the area for nearly 35 years. He truly enjoyed his work and was sorry when illness forced him into retirement.Vaughn was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and being at hunting camp which he helped build along with friends and family. He never missed a year attending deer camp, enjoying the company of friends and the peacefulness of "Top 75."Vaughn also enjoyed working on his property at Cole Pond, both working in the garden and building furniture and decorative pieces. He is sorely missed by the family dog, Bear who stayed by his side during his final year of fighting cancer. Vaughn is survived by his wife, Sherry, sons Vaughn T. Clark Jr. and his wife Sue of Stowe, VT. And Benjamin M. Clark and his wife Tami of Jacksonville, FL., his mother, Phyllis, brother Vince and his wife Pamela of Bondville, VT. And five grandchildren.A celebration of life will be held at an announced later date There will be no visiting hours.
