Vernon Cecil "Skip" King

Vernon Cecil "Skip" King, 46, a resident of Roberts road, passed away July 30, 2016 at his home. Skip was born in Bennington on July 31, 1969 the son of Stanley and Cecile (Hewes) King, Sr. and attended Burr and Burton Academy. Skip was employed by the Vermont State Disability Department Division. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family and helping others with disabilities. Skip is survived by his mother Cecile King of Manchester, sisters Roxanne Perry (Paul) and Dawn King of Northampton, MA, brothers Stanley King (Carol) and Keith King (Angela). He was preceded in death by his father Stanley King, Sr. and longtime companion Elaine Redden. A celebration of Skip's life will be held Saturday August 6, 2016 at 1pm at the First Congregational Church in Manchester, hosted by Northshire Baptist Church. Interment will be private. There are no visiting hours. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Skip's memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Northshire Interfaith Council and memo "Skip King Mem. Fund", c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Service P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT 05255.
