Virginia Beatrice (Buell) Bromley, 90, of Danby, Vermont, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2015, at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Virginia was born in Manchester, VT on September 19, 1924 to Louis and Mabel (Bardwell) Buell. Virginia married Harry Bromley of Danby in 1942, Harry predeceased her on January 27, 2011.Virginia and Harry worked on their dairy farm and raised their children in Danby Four Corners for 23 years before moving to Easy Street in Danby. They were also very involved in maple sugaring for many years and were known for their excellent syrup. Virginia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Debra Bromley of Wells, VT; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Fred Stone of Pawlet, VT; and her daughter and son-in-law, Fern and Ronald Snow of E. Arlington, VT. Virginia is also survived by her five grandchildren, Vernon Stone and his wife Amy; Gary Stone and his wife Cindy; Burr Snow; Keith Snow and his wife Suzan; and Rebecca Bromley Guenther and her husband Curt. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Martin Bromley and Lee Bromley, and three brothers, Milford, Howard, and Alfred Buell. Graveside services for Virginia will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Scottsville Cemetery in Danby. There will be no calling hours. Virginia was an avid reader and was seldom found without a book in hand, even in her last days. Contributions in Virginia's memory may be made to the S. L. Graveside services for Virginia will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Scottsville Cemetery in Danby. There will be no calling hours.
