Walter R. Kent 1937 - 2017 Walter R. Kent. Nickname Buster, 79, a resident of Holland Heights, Danby, passed away Monday February 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Walter was born in Manchester on February 25, 1937 the son of the late Albert and Anna (LaGrange) Kent and attended Manchester schools. Walter worked for E.C. Crosby & Sons for over thirty years, most of those years delivering grain to local farmers. Walter enjoyed fishing of any kind especially deep sea fishing and hunting. His true passion was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kent (Bovey) whom he married in Manchester on June 20, 1959, sons Ricky Kent and his wife, Lori of Mt. Tabor and Frank Kent and his wife Melanie also of Mt. Tabor, daughters, Terrie Brzoza and her husband, Anthony of Ludlow, VT, Nancy Hoffman and her husband, Carl of Danby VT, Sally Martinez of Mt. Tabor and Amanda Guardado and her husband, Oscar of Manchester, NH., brothers, William Kent and his wife, Ruth, Albert "Skee" Kent both of Manchester, VT, 15 grandchildren many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Jane Fottler and Marie Griffis. SERVICES: A celebration of the life of Walter R. Kent will be held Saturday February 25, 2017 from 3 - 6pm at the Maple Valley Grange in South Wallingford. There are no visiting hours.
