William (Bill) R. Krebs

William (Bill) R. Krebs, 58, a resident of North Branch Street, passed away February 22, 2022 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center surrounded by his family. Bill was born on New Rochelle, NY on June 16, 1963 the son of the late Russell D. and Marguerite (Conner) Krebs. He attended East Chester, NY schools, graduating from East Chester High School and attended SUNY Farmingdale earning his Associates Degree. Bill worked as an account manager, office and service manager for many area automobile dealerships. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1861 in Bennington and enjoyed baseball and football following the New York Yankees and his passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed working on cars was an avid movie lover and loved coaching youth baseball and football from MAYAA football to Little League, Babe Ruth and fall baseball. He cherished times spent with his family. Bill is survived by his wife Darline (Downs) Krebs whom he married July 18, 2020 in Bennington, his children Daniel Krebs of Bennington, Russell Krebs of Albany, NY, Nicole (Jeffrey House) of Stormville, NY, Timothy of Gardner, Massachusetts and Emily Shannon of Bennington, his brother David Krebs and his daughter Ali of Mahopac, NY, sister Robin Roberts (Stephen) and nephew Matthew of Eastchester, NY and 2 grandchildren Layla and Finn House. At the request of the family there are no formal funeral services. A time of visitation for Bill will be held Monday February 28, 2022 from 4-7pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date in Eastchester, NY.
