William Daniel Wade, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in the mountains of Dorset, VT, surrounded and in the arms of his 3 beloved children. William was born in Bennington, VT, on October 21, 1951, the son of Paul and Rosalie Wade (both deceased) of Arlington, VT. He was a long time resident of Manchester, VT and graduated from the infamous class of 1969 at Arlington Memorial High School. He is survived by his 3 children, Kimberly McLeod (Jason) of Chester, Kyleen York (Adam) of Glens Falls, NY and Brian Wade (Niti) of Morrisville, NC., 5 grandchildren Jacqueline, Raymond, Casey, Meisha and Karina and 2 great grandchildren, Wesley and Isaac and his siblings-Sheila Hoyt, Paula Shortle, Brenda Nicolson, Jim Wade, Anita Roy, Matthew Wade, Mark Wade, and Donna Savage. William joined the Army in 1971 during the Vietnam conflict and then transitioned out and continued serving in the national guard. He worked many years as an auto body mechanic and then refinished antique tractors for Dorr Oil Co until he retired. He was an avid sports enthusiast, loyal to the Yankees and the Giants and was a lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW. Honor, respect and celebration of this amazing man’s life will take place October 5th at the VFW at 11 am. Please wear your favorite sports team memorabilia to his celebration.
