Wilma Sinclair

d. June 11, 2018

Wilma Jean Sinclair age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Albany Medical Center in Albany NY. She was born September 23, 1948, in Hannover, New Hampshire, to John Truman Hill, Jr. and Dorothy (Dot) Hill. She was a 1967 graduate of Mount Anthony High School. She married Thomas Warren Sinclair on June 16, 1973, in Bennington, VT. She worked as a buyer with JARD's where she met her best friend Tom Sinclair after an introduction by her friends Polita and Mabel. During her time there, she displayed a wonderful knack for solving problems and becoming fast friends with all who knew her. From there Wilma worked as an administrative assistant at Bennington Convalescence Center. Willy loved spending time with co-workers and patients alike. Her ability to solve problems, listen with compassion and to treat everyone with respect no matter who they were, made her the go-to person on a daily basis. Willy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, cooking, never ending craft projects, gardening and making special projects and goodies with her grandkids. Her huge smile, warm hugs, and her ability to know exactly what you needed, was just a few of her wonderful attributes. Known for being a trend setter well before her time, she adored, her elegantly shaped eyebrows, blue eyeshadow and dark red lipstick. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces and a few very close friends. Wilma had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tom; her three daughters Tamerah Sinclair, Nicole (Keith) Fox, and Corine (Mike) Hoyt; her two sisters Margaret Adams, Beverly (Fred) Johnson and her brother, Dennis (Darlene) Hill; and her adoring Aunt Lois Bentley; and many grandchildren (Elyssa, Lindsay, Isaac, and Logan), nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Wilma touched are invited to her daughter and son's home (Corine and Mike Hoyt), 148 Prouty Hill Road, East Arlington, VT 05252. Visiting hours are from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. and a remembrance service to be held from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018; followed by food and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Susan G. Komen (Breast Cancer Research) in memory of Wilma J. Sinclair. The family looks forward to spending time with each of you to reminisce, celebrate, support each other and, of course, just chat. Willy would have loved to be there to welcome each of you with great big warm hugs, and tears in her blue eyes.
