Yvonne M. Brown

Yvonne M. Brown, 75, a resident of Highland Avenue, passed away January 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Yvonne was born in Bennington on August 2, 1943 the daughter of the late James E. Hill and Ida Poulin Hill. She attended Manchester schools and graduated from Burr & Burton Seminary. Yvonne worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Robert Fisk and then as an administrative assistant at Dorr Oil for many years. Yvonne was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to music, a fan of PGA golf, and discovered the love of travel later in life. She is survived by her son Derrick J. Brown of Cortland, NY, sister Carole Kristiansen and her husband Pedar of Manchester Center along with nephews Pedar (Jamie) Kristiansen [Melissa], Poultney; Gregory S. Kristiansen [Robin], Manchester; and Bradley W. Kristiansen [Jannell], Manchester Center; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dale C. Brown who died in 2000 and her brother Richard J. Hill. At the request of the family funeral services will be private.
