Douglas Benjamin Merrill

Douglas Benjamin Merrill, 67, passed away of natural causes on July 30, 2021 after a courageous battle with health issues. He lived for many years at the base of his beloved mountain, Mt. Snow in W. Dover, VT where he found the peace and solitude he so cherished. He was born on May 12, 1954 in Meriden, CT to Ralph and Nancy Merrill. He is predeceased by his parents and is survived by his sister Linda Merrill (Ross) Tutschulte of Madison, CT, nieces Lauren Urbanski (Nicholas) Grainger and Merrill Lin (Grayson) Moore, both of Richmond VA. Doug is also survived by their children Calvin and Leila Grainger and Felix and Wren Moore. Doug loved tending his garden, creating jewelry, cruising to warmer climes and caring for his favorite cat, Pewter. He had a big heart and will be greatly missed.
