Eleanor R. Drasheff

Eleanor R. Drasheff, 85, a resident of Manchester Center, passed away July 19, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Eleanor was born in Little Ferry, NJ on november 7, 1932 the daughter of the late Gustav and Christina Rieken nee Bellm. After living in Elmwood Park, NJ for forty-eight years, Eleanor and her husband moved to Vermont where she always admired the mountains and the natural beauty of the area. She enjoyed gardening and short hikes and, when she had time, reading. In the past two years, she looked forward to her activities and trips, especially to the theater, with the Northshire Seniors. Eleanor was a devoted wife and mother and very proud grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends and was an excellent cook and baker. Her loving and caring ways along with her wonderful sense of humor shall be missed by everyone who knew her, and she will live in our hearts for ever. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Alfred, of Manchester Center, daughters, Judy Paris and her husband, Adrian, of Manchester Center and Diane Jajko and her husband, Ronald, of Wayne NJ and her grandchildren, Alana and Kristen Jajko, her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Robert Erb, of Stroudsburg, PA, and her cousin and dear friend, Marianne Stengel and family, of Hillsboro Beach, Florida. In accordance with Eleanor's wishes there will be no formal services. If friends so desire, memorial gifts in Eleanor's memory may be made to Meals On Wheels of Bennington County, 124 Pleasant Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
