Hans Siewertsen

Hans C. Siewertsen, 86, a resident of Dorset, VT and formerly of Bethpage, NY, passed away January 19, 2018 at Equinox Terrace. Hans was born in Hamburg, Germany on December 31, 1931 the son of the late Christian and Erna (Tiede) Siewertsen. Hans was an HVAC Service Manager and Master Electrician for many years. He served as a Bethpage Fire Department volunteer for 50 years and was an Honorary Deputy Chief. Hans enjoyed walking on the beach and feeding the seagulls, working on projects around the house and helping with the garden. He enjoyed listening to music, playing with his grandchildren and most of all spending time with his "honey"- married 61 years. Hans is survived by his wife Frauke (Behrens) Siewertsen of Dorset, VT, children Michael Siewertsen (Jan) of Huntingtown, MD and Christal Siewertsen (Raymond Chen) of Dorset,VT, daughter-in-law Margaret Siewertsen, brother Jan Ipke Siewertsen of Germany, sister Ingrid Anebygd of Sweden, and grandchildren Jenna, Lauren, Caitlin and Raymond. He was preceded in death by his son Ralph Siewertsen. Funeral services for Hans will be announced at a later date.
