Kay Bruce

Kay L. Bruce, 60, a resident of The Meadows, passed away May 29, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. Kay was born in Adams, MA on January 3, 1958 the daughter of the late Edward J. and Carolyn Ann Peebles DuBois and attended elementary school in Danby and Burr and Burton Seminary. Kay worked as a seamstress for many years and in her earlier years worked as a waitress in area restaurants. Kay enjoyed sewing, baking, quilting bird watching and the outdoors. She loved music in general, trips to the Maine coast and spending time with her family. Kay is survived by her children Jennifer Korejko of Manchester and Kari Halligan of West Rutland, step-sons Robert and Jason Bruce of North Carolina, siblings Gail Dufresne and her husband Jeff of Rutland, Mark DuBois and his wife Wendy of Pittsfield, MA, Ann Morrissey and her husband William of East Dorset and Jason Kerson of Rupert, grandchildren Kelsey Korejko of Manchester and Maya and Vera Bruce of North Carolina. A time of visitation for Kay will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5-7pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT. Interment will be private. If friends desire, memorial gifts in Kay's memory may be made to the Foley Cancer Center at Rutland Regional Medical Center, c/o Brewster-Shea Funeral Home P.O. Box 885 Manchester Center, VT. A time of visitation for Kay will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5-7pm at Brewster-Shea Funeral Home 34 Park Place Manchester Center, VT. Interment will be private.
