Mark C. Peterson, 60, a resident of Jacksonville, passed away November 21, 2017 at his home. Mark was born in New Britain, CT on December 1, 1956 the son of the late John and Doris (Goodison) Peterson, Sr. He attended Berlin, CT schools, graduating from Berlin High School and from Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. Mark was a firefighter in New Britain, CT for 27 years and upon moving to Vermont owned and operated the Candlelight B & B with his wife Pam where he was also a volunteer for Whitingham Fire and Rescue. Mark enjoyed helping everyone. He loved deep sea fishing and the ocean. He enjoyed construction, classic rock music and traveling on several cruises and had an infectious sense of humor. He was a New England Patriot fan and cherished times spent with his wife Pam and his family. Mark is survived by his wife Pamela of Jacksonville whom he married March 23, 1991, children Kent Carbo and his wife Emily of Francestown, NH, Brandee Carbo-Crawford and her spouse Shermaine of Plattsburgh, NY, Kendra Carbo of Bristol, CT and Amber Carbo Privizzini and her husband Paul of Montville, CT, brother Brett Peterson and his wife Robin of Berlin. CT grandchildren Thomas, Taylor, Pauli, Hannah, Austin and Gavin, his dog Gypsy and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother John Peterson, Jr. Funeral services for Mark will be held Sunday November 26, 2017 at 1pm at the Jacksonville Community Church. Interment will be private.
